My Vision for Kids Bake Club
My idea for the Kids Bake Club has come from parents asking and suggesting to have school holiday classes in our bakery or doing children's parties.
Due to covid, the idea got put on the backbench.
It has still been on my mind, and I thought maybe I could do an online Kids Bake Club so no one is restricted by distance and the limited class numbers.
I plan to help parents or even grandparents to feel confident in teaching their children kitchen skills.
A parent's guide will help determine your child's skill level, what guidance would be needed, and how you, the parent, would be involved.
A new Kids Bake Club pack will be delivered each month digitally, and a Recipe for Success pathway to help guide what skills the child/ren can continually learn new skills and practice in the monthly recipes.
Each recipe will have a traffic light system that will suggest how much guidance the child may need depending on the skill level and age-appropriate tasks.

I'M KERRY
Have you noticed your little one watching you in the kitchen and wanting to help?
I am a qualified baker and pastry cook & I own a bakery with my hubby Nick, we have a daughter - Jacinta who loves visiting and loves to "help" in the bakery.
I was looking for a playgroup or a course for kids to help her enjoy her interest in baking, which I couldn't find.
As I am qualified in baking and have a training and assessment certificate in adult education.
I thought I could develop some lessons which take the kids through the whole process of learning about the ingredients, shopping, and costs of food. All the aspects of baking from learning the ingredients, to weighing and baking. Learning basic kitchen skills and using some kitchen tools and equipment safely.
Which lead me to my idea of creating the Kids Bake Club.
